All polymer compounds containing epoxy groups in their molecular structure are collectively referred to as epoxy resins. Cured epoxy resins have good physical and chemical properties. They have excellent bonding strength to the surfaces of metals and non-metallic materials, good dielectric properties, small set shrinkage, good product dimensional stability, high hardness, good flexibility, and stability to alkali and most solvents. Therefore, they are widely used in defense and various sectors of the national economy for casting, impregnation, laminating materials, adhesives, coatings, etc. my country has been studying epoxy resins since 1958 and has put them into industrial production at a rapid rate. So far, it has been booming all over the country. In addition to producing ordinary bisphenol A-epichlorohydrin type epoxy resins, various types of new epoxy resins are also produced to meet the urgent needs of defense construction and various sectors of the national economy. There are roughly the following types of preparation methods for epoxy resins: reaction of active hydrides with epichlorohydrin, liquid phase oxidation of double bonds with hydrogen peroxide or peracid (such as peracetic acid), and air oxidation of double bond compounds.
