Terephthalic acid (PTA) is one of the world’s largest-produced compounds, with an annual production capacity of more than 30 million tons in mainland China alone, mainly used to produce polyester PET. The development of bulk chemicals, polymer materials and products using PTA as the starting material can enhance the added value of the PTA industry chain and the profitability of enterprises. Dimethyl 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylate (DM ChemicalbookCD) is one of the most important derivatives in the PTA industry chain. It is an important organic chemical raw material that can be used as a polymer modification material and an important intermediate for the production of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM). The series of polyester products produced by polymerization using CHDM as the raw material have excellent heat resistance, mechanical properties and environmental adaptability, and the demand is growing rapidly.
