O-Ethoxyphenol, also known as p-hydroxyethylbenzene. The chemical formula is C8H10O2, which is a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid. The precipitate from the water is a white needle shaped crystal with a strong woody phenol odor and a slightly sweet taste. It is used as the raw material of spices, for the synthesis of ethyl Vanillin, and is widely used in food, cosmetics, medicine and other industries.
