PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Isooctanoic acid is a colorless and slightly odorous liquid. Flammable, slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water and ether, slightly soluble in ethanol. It can be used as an intermediate for paint and coating drying agents, as a modifier for alkyd resins, as a catalyst for producing peroxides for polymerization reactions (such as PE), and as a lubricant ester and PVC stabilizer

APPLICATIONS

2-ethylhexenal is mostly converted into salts of metal zirconium, cobalt, molybdenum, zinc, etc., used as paint drying agents and heat stabilizers for polyvinyl chloride plastics; Its tin salt can be used as an additive for plastic pipes; Barium and cadmium salts are used in plastic rolling products and stabilizers, while 2-ethylhexenal and its esters are also used in pharmaceuticals, fungicides, metal lubricants, cosmetics, and other fields. Its glycerol esters are excellent plasticizers. 2-Ethylhexenal is also the raw material of Benzylpenicillin in medicine, and is also used in the synthesis of many dyes and spices.
